Bonjour—and welcome!

La Société Francophone de Cape Cod is a welcoming community for adults who enjoy speaking French and connecting with others who share an interest in the French language and Francophone cultures.

What we are
We are a friendly mix of native French speakers, longtime Francophiles, returning French learners, newcomers to Cape Cod, and people who simply want to keep their French alive.

Some of us speak French every day. Others haven’t used it in years. What brings us together is the pleasure of conversation, community, and spending time with people who share our interest in the French-speaking world.

What we do
From September through June, we gather at locations around Cape Cod for casual French conversation and social events.

Our gatherings take a variety of forms. Sometimes we meet for a sit-down dinner at a local restaurant. Other times, we gather more informally for drinks, coffee, or light refreshments. The setting may change, but the idea is always the same: to make conversation in French enjoyable, comfortable, and social.

Everyone is welcome

You don’t need perfect grammar or a Parisian accent to join us. All conversational levels are welcome, and you are always encouraged to participate at your own pace. Come on your own or bring a friend. New members are warmly welcomed.
